6th Africa Water Week
The project will participate in the Africa Water Week as part of a UNEP-DHI led session on Thursday the 21st of July.
The session “Ensuring sustainable water resources management and climate resilience” will focus on data availability and uncertainty related to planning with specific focus on drought management. The overall objectives with the session are:
- Present the project and the outcomes
- Present and discuss data availability and uncertainty related to planning in a basin or catchment context taking with specific focus on drought events
- Discuss how indicators could be used to form the linkage between issues and assessment and planning in a basin or catchment context
- Learn how a web-based data portal, one of the project outcomes, could be used in the context of drought management
The session will be an opportunity to learn more about the project and how the project outcomes could be used to ensure sustainable water resource management under a changing climate.
